General Election

May 15, 2004

All of the following water districts will hold an election this year which is being held on the third Saturday of May. This is a one time change to accommodate a later primary in 2004. The election will change back to the first Saturday in May in 2005.

Filing ended March 15, 2004 at 5:00 p.m.

Victoria County Drainage District No. 2

The current officeholders are; Place 1 - Kenneth Marshall, Place 2 - Martin Robles, Jr. and Place 3 - Arnulfo Reyes, Jr.

The district is located near Bloomington, Texas and includes parts of election precincts 12, 13 and 14.

The following candidates filed an application for a place on the ballot.

Director, Place 1 - Jerry Hroch, Warren Harvey White

Director, Place 2 - Martin "Pee Wee" Robles, Jr.

Director, Place 3 - Arnulfo, Reyes, Jr., Jackie Bayer

Victoria County Drainage District No. 3

The current officeholders are Raymond Hill, Thomas Cartwright and Victor Neisser.

The district extends from the Victoria Calhoun County line to just north of Salem Road and contains portions of election precincts; 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30 and 32.

Bloomington

The current officeholders up for election in 2004 are Felix Salinas and Salvador Cantu. 

The district is located primarily in Bloomington, Texas.

Only two candidates filed for the two positions. The Board of Directors will cancel their election at the next board meeting.

Water Control & Improvement District No. 2
Placedo

There are two positions up for election in 2004. The current officeholders are Josie Acevedo and Mario Cantu.

The water district is located primarily in Placedo, Texas.

The following individuals filed as candidates in the election;

     Mario Cantu, Josie Chapa Acevedo, David Priour, Sr., Calvin G. Davis

Quail Creek Municipal Utility District

The current officeholders up for election in 2004 are D.B. Rios and Richard Reyes.

The district is located in the Quail Creek subdivision.

The following individuals filed as candidates in the election;
