Burn Ban Lifted

County Commissioners Court during their regular court session have lifted the Victoria County burn ban.  Trash burning must be done in a barrel topped with a screen consisting of holes no larger than 5/8” inch.  Burning on the ground or in a barrel should have an area cleared around it down to the soil or gravel.

 

All burning must be supervised and have readily available a means to control the fire.  County Fire Marshal’s Office shall be notified of acreage or pile burning during normal work hours (Mon. thru Fri. 8AM-5PM).

 

If the burning will be done after hours, the City of Victoria non-emergency dispatch shall be notified at 573-3221.
