Teresa earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from the Victoria College Nursing Program in 2019. She began her career in the local hospital setting, gaining valuable experience in medical-surgical care and later in the intensive care unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to serving patients in times of great need.
In February 2022, Teresa joined the Victoria County Public Health Department (VCPHD) as a Public Health Nurse. In this role, she managed the Tuberculosis Control Program and provided STI services to women, supporting the department’s mission of protecting and improving community health.
She was promoted to Nursing Manager in November 2024 and now oversees departmental operations, staff development, and the implementation of public health initiatives. Teresa is dedicated to ensuring accessible, high-quality services that promote the health and well-being of the community. She is passionate about advancing public health through education, prevention, and strong community partnerships.
