Victoria Office of Emergency Management Launches New Emergency Notification System
The Victoria Office of Emergency Management (VOEM) has launched a new emergency notification system powered by Everbridge to deliver timely and accurate information to Victoria County residents during emergencies and critical situations. The platform is free to use and will only be activated during emergency circumstances.
By signing up for VOEM ALERTS, residents can receive notifications about severe weather, critical incidents, missing persons, evacuations, and other important public safety information. Users can customize how they receive alerts, including phone calls, text messages, emails, and other communication methods. Personal contact information provided during registration will remain secure and will not be shared outside of VOEM.
“Implementing this emergency notification system will enable our office to share important information quickly and efficiently, especially during severe weather, critical incidents, hurricanes, evacuations, and missing person cases,” said Rick McBrayer.
This system also allows VOEM to send location-based alerts to residents in areas directly impacted by emergencies, disasters, or evacuation events. Opting in ensures residents receive critical information quickly, helping them stay informed, prepared, and safe when it matters most.
