Victoria County Precinct 4 CDBG MIT-MOD Funding Disclaimer:

In recent years, the Texas GLO (General Land Office) announced the availability of disaster mitigation funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, in which a total of $5,469,517.00 was allocated to Victoria County.

Upon Commissioner's Court approval, the full Victoria County allocation was applied toward vital road and drainage improvements for identified and pre-engineered county roads within the unincorporated areas of the county. Due to recent funding holds as a result of the GLO'S review of regional applications, we are currently awaiting the release of funding prior to initiating the construction projects listed within the submitted application.

As a result of these holds, Precinct 4 Road and Bridge is delayed in pursuing specific drainage or road improvements in the following areas until funding is received:

  • Hambleton Street
  • Hill Road
  • Sheward Street
  • 1st Street
  • 2nd Street
  • 3rd Street
  • Old Highway Road 1

All other normal road and drainage maintenance will continue as Victoria County awaits the release of funding from the GLO. Should you have any questions regarding the identified MITMOD Projects, please do not hesitate to contact the Victoria County Commissioner’s Office at (361)575-4558 or Commissioner Kenneth Sexton at (361)550-1809.
